The Northern Continent
The Northern Continent is a hostile land with cold temperatures and harsh environments that not all Tygers are fond of. Some however have still made their homes here, admiring its beauty and making use of their fire to keep warm.
Notable Locations
Fogbound Coast
The southeastern coast of the continent is almost always covered in dense fog, making navigating between the continents difficult. There are countless small, alpine islands that dot the sea here. |
The Deep Woods
The evergreen forest that covers the bottom of the continent is one of the more hospitable places here, having some bearable temperatures during the warmer months and hosting enough resources to live on. The further north into the woods you go it becomes darker, colder, and steeper. |
White Water Canyon
A canyon that was dug through the alpine highlands by a roaring river. It's tops are often covered in snow and the trees that make their home in the canyon below are barren or cut off from most sunlight. The canyon runs from the southeastern tip of the continent all the way to the river's source in the mountains. |
Aurora View Mountains
These towering peaks are almost always shrouded in cloud cover and are the tallest point on any continent. These icy mountains are a challenge for any creature to climb, but once at the top the view is one of the most beautiful, awe-inspiring ones. |
Northern Snow Plain
In the valley below the mountains is a rather flat area of tundra that is covered in deep snow drifts. The land looks as barren as it could possibly be, but there could always be those willing to call it home. |
Island of Solitude
An island off the northern coast that is almost entirely devoid of life. The ice-locked soil is unable to grow much of anything. There are some rare ores to be found here, but few dare to venture this far north. |
Crystal Tundra
Rolling hills dotted with grass between the snowdrifts are pierced with odd crystal structures. They seem to emit a chill from their surface and are freezing to the touch. |
Luna Lake
A land surrounded by crystals that seems to always hold the moon's reflection in its waters no matter where the celestial body is in the sky. It's said to grant those who drink from it. |
Howler Point
The northernmost point of the mainland continent and the windiest place on either continent. The gale force winds howl through the air and dare to throw anyone willing to venture to the edge of the point off into the frozen sea below. |
Frozen Sea
The entirety of the sea to the north of the continent is covered in a thick sheet of ice. Small areas of the ocean near the coast are free of ice, but it's too cold to stay in the water for too long. |
